215 Work Calendar Starting Salary: $70,000Primary Purpose:Provide professional development and direct support to campus personnel in the implementation of specialeducation instructional and behavioral programs. Work cooperatively with instructional personnel to providethe most appropriate instructional programs and settings for students with disabilities.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Valid Texas special education teacher certificateValid Texas content area or generalist teacher certificateMaster’s degree in special education or educational leadership preferredSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of best practices in providing special education services in a variety of settingsKnowledge of best practices in behavioral support for students with disabilitiesAbility to interpret dataExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience:Successful experience in a special education assessment, leadership, and/or teaching roleSuccessful experience in teaching and/or leading in a general education setting
