Job Description

This position is a temporary position.Primary Purpose:Under moderate supervision, assist district staff with receiving, inventorying, labeling, organizing,and distributing instructional materials, textbooks, classroom supplies, and related resources forthe upcoming school year. Support efficient storage operations to ensure campuses anddepartments are prepared for student and staff needs.This position is planned to work approximately 3 hours per day, 4 days per week during summermonths between school years.Qualifications:Education/Certification:High school diploma or GEDCollege coursework, preferredSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Ability to organize materials and maintain accurate recordsBasic computer and data entry skillsAbility to learn and properly use inventory software and spreadsheetsAbility to follow written and verbal directionsStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDependable and punctualExperience:Experience organizing materials, stocking inventory, or working in a school or warehouse setting,preferred but not requiredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:1. Assist with receiving and/or unloading instructional materials and supplies2. Count, sort, label, and inventory textbooks, classroom resources, and district supplies3. Organize materials in storage rooms, warehouses, and/or designated campus areas4. Assist with preparing and distributing materials to campuses and departments5. Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies to supervisors6. Help keep work areas clean, safe, and orderly7. Assist district staff with additional summer preparation tasks as assigned8. Follow all district safety procedures and confidentiality expectations9.
