Job Description
Primary Purpose:
Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and technology in a STEM Camp environment. Work
under supervision of certified teachers, Instructional Coach, and Director.
Qualifications
Manor ISD High School student (currently in grades 9-12); must be at least 16
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to work well with children and adults
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use personal computer, iPads, robotics kits, and software.
Experience:
Preferred experience working with children.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and technology.
- Assist with administration of STEM equipment and work assignments.
- Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
- Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
- Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
- Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality
- Report to work in a timely manner according to assigned schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position.
