226 Workdays per School Year Starting Rate: $22.25/hourPrimary PurposePlan, develop, maintain, and continuously improve district wide student transportation routes for general education, special programs, and students receiving specialized transportation. Ensure routes, stops, schedules, assignments, and transportation data are safe, accurate, efficient, timely, compliant, and responsive to changing enrollment and district needs. QualificationsEducation/Certification:Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements High School Diploma or GED Required to be 21 years of age or older. Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to use software to develop route schedules, spreadsheets, and databases and do word processing Ability to read and understand documents including policies and procedures manuals Ability to receive and give written and verbal instructionsAbility to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Requirements:Regular attendance is an essential job function. Experience: Preferred experience as certified school bus driver School bus routing software Two years experience in pupil transportation, dispatch, routing, logistics, student data or a related field preferred
