Starting Salary: $53,010 — Work Days: 185 — Start: August 2026 Primary PurposeProvide students with rigorous instructional experiences in College Preparatory English Language Artsdesigned to support college readiness and successful transition into entry-level college coursework.The teacher will deliver instruction aligned to the Jarrell ISD and Hill College Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MOU), emphasizing critical reading, academic writing, communication, and collegereadiness skills necessary for student success beyond high school.QualificationsEducation/CertificationBachelor’s degree from accredited universityValid Texas teaching certificate in English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR)Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assignedSpecial Knowledge/Skills• Knowledge of college readiness standards and TSIA requirements• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction aligned to collegepreparatory coursework• Ability to instruct students in critical reading, academic writing,research, and composition skills• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills• Ability to collaborate effectively with higher education partners andRequirementsRegular attendance is an essential job function.ExperienceStudent teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
