Job Description
Under the direction and supervision of the Principal or designee, the candidate will plan instruction, teach, differentiate instruction, motivate, inspire, and assess students in social studies. The candidate will promote a high quality, personalized education program that reflects the TEKS Content Standards.-Develops and presents lessons that demonstrate planning and preparation while using a variety of instructional techniques and materials, which are appropriate to meet the needs of all students-Organizes classroom systems/procedures and manages student behavior to ensure all students are fully engaged and learning-Collaborates with special education staff to attain goals designated in students’ IEPs and 504 plans-Actively participates in professional development opportunities and collaborates with district personnel and peers for the purposes of improving the quality of student outcomes and planning curriculum in social studies-Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data-Establishes a culture of high expectationsRequires Bachelor’s degree with valid Texas teaching certificateLlano ISD Compensation PlanExempt187 days
